Repair and restoration
Chimney caps and chase covers
The chase cover is the metal lid on a framed chimney chase. Once it rusts through, water gets in. We measure yours and replace it with one that actually fits.

How it works
We measure
Chase covers and caps are made to the size of your chimney, so we measure before we quote.
You get a written quote
The cover or cap, the material and the price in writing.
We replace it
The old cover or cap comes off, and the new one goes on and gets sealed.
Chase covers
A framed chimney is built of wood and covered in siding to match the house, with a metal chase cover on top. Galvanized covers rust with time. Rust streaks running down the siding under the cover are usually the first thing homeowners notice.
We measure the chase and replace the old cover with one made to fit it.
Chimney caps
We install caps on top of the chimney to keep rain and animals out of the flue, including custom caps for chimneys where a standard size doesn't fit.
What goes into the price
Every chimney is different, so this work is priced after we have looked at yours.
- The size of the chase or chimney top, and how many flues come through it.
- A standard size or one made to measure.
- The material.

Questions

How do repair quotes work?
Repairs start with an inspection. We show you what we found, go over the options, and send you a written quote. Nothing starts until you've approved the quote.
Can you give me an estimate from pictures?
Yes. Send us pictures of your chimney and we can give you a rough idea of what the work involves. Any estimate from pictures is preliminary and is not a final price until we visit the property and inspect the job in person.
What does a chimney inspection cost?
A standard chimney inspection is $49, and that $49 is credited toward any repair or service we perform following the inspection. If you move forward with recommended work, the inspection fee goes toward the cost of the job.
