Our standard chimney cleaning and inspection is $349. We sweep the chimney and inspect it on the same visit, so you find out what condition it's in while we're already there.

Drop cloths go down around the fireplace before we start.
We sweep the flue
Brushes on rods go up the flue and take the soot and creosote off the inside walls.
We inspect while we're there
The same checks as a standard inspection, inside and out.

What a chimney cleaning is
A chimney cleaning, or sweep, takes the buildup off the inside of the flue. Every wood fire leaves soot and creosote on the flue walls, and sweeping removes it.
We don't sweep and leave. The inspection is part of the same visit, so you end up with a clean flue and a clear picture of what shape the chimney is in.
When to book
Most people think about the chimney on the first cold night. Booking before then means you aren't waiting for an opening once you want a fire.

- The $349 price is for one flue. If your home has more than one flue or fireplace, set the quantity when you book.

How much is a chimney cleaning?
Our standard chimney cleaning and inspection is $349. A camera inspection can be added for $75.
Will a cleaning make a mess in the house?
We cover the work area before we start and clean up before we leave.
How long does a visit take?
Plan on about an hour for an inspection and about two hours for a cleaning with inspection. A camera inspection adds about 30 minutes. The 3-hour window you pick is for when we arrive.
Can I see the inside of my chimney?
Yes. Add a camera inspection for $75 and we put a camera through the flue so you can see the inside of your chimney for yourself, the same view we're looking at.
What if I have more than one chimney or fireplace?
When you book online you can choose a quantity for each service, for homes with more than one flue or fireplace. If you're not sure what to pick, call (248) 266-9991 and we'll sort it out with you.
